Two Years In & We Still Winning!

Today the Ghetto Activist officially (unofficially) turns two years old.

Two years in and we still winning bruh!

Before I Talk My Shit…

I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for following. Thank you for all the support. Thank you for joining me on my unlearning and relearning journey. Just, THANK YOU! TGA wouldn’t be what it is today (and what it will become in the future) had it not been for all the things you guys do to support it. Major S/O to the Ghetto Community, my day ones, and the Patreon ✊🏾👏🏾 If it weren’t for my day ones reading and sharing post, I might’ve hung this mf up a long time ago. To my Patreon fam, bruh, your monetary support has enabled me to buy resources that have expanded my knowledge of history and self. Knowledge I can’t wait to share with you all, as I’ve done since the creation of TGA.

Now, Let Me Talk My Shit

In TGA’s infancy, the main goal was to pump out content. Lots of content. Hints why in 2019 we dropped 67 pieces.

In 2020 I realized that TGA had a ton of content, but the platform itself had no support. So the main focus switched from pumping out content on the blog to increasing TGA’s digital footprint through social media. I’m proud to announce that TGA’s IG account organically gained over 8,000 new followers in 2020 alone. Which reminds me, follow TGA on IG if you haven’t already.

And now we’ve made it to 2021, and the question is, what should the focus be now? Logically speaking, and honestly speaking, what’s next is obvious. Keeping that same energy TGA has had since its beginning.

What will that look like?

My Afrikan Minds series is a perfect example of what this will look like. This series was designed to erase the illusion of what “Black History” looks like during February by examining the accomplishment of so-called “Black” people, Afrikans, who rarely get the recognition they deserve.

So for 2021, expect to see a whole lot of that plus some mo’ shit.

Again, thank you for rocking with me, growing with me, and whatever else you do to support me and this platform.
